Missing Savannah Cat “Majesta” Safely Reunited with Owner Thanks to Local Hero

Date:

In an emotional and dramatic turn of events, a missing cat named Majesta was safely reunited with its owner thanks to the quick thinking and calm demeanor of Stephanie Bucci.

News of the missing cat traveled fast over social media thanks in part to the striking photo of Majesta, a rare breed of cat called a “Savannah,” as well as to her owner’s heartbreaking plea and the $1,000 reward promised to anyone associated with her safe return (see screenshot below).

Luckily Majesta’s tale had a happy ending, but there were a few setbacks.

Just minutes before the good news of her rescue came in, the cat’s owner received a series of suspicious and unsettling calls. One man claimed to have the cat and demanded a $5,000 payment to meet off I-75. Another caller, posing as a pet psychic, claimed the cat was hiding in a bush and offered more details in exchange for payment via Zelle or Cash App. A third message offered vague promises of “more information” in exchange for a call back.

Amid all the chaos, a true act of kindness emerged. Babcock local Stephanie Bucci remained composed, arrived at the location where the cat was discovered, and incredibly Majesta came right to her.

“Stephanie was amazing,” the grateful owner shared. “She kept her calm, got there, and the cat came right to me. I gave her a reward, she didn’t want to accept it, but I made her!”

This heartwarming reunion serves as a reminder that while not everyone has the best intentions, there are still everyday heroes like Stephanie making a real difference.
